🛍️ How to Use the BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) Feature in Pumper

We’re excited to introduce a new way to delight your customers and boost your sales — BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) offers, now available through our updated sub-offer interface! 🎉

This guide walks you through how to create and manage BOGO offers easily within Pumper using Shopify's native discount functionality.

💡 What is a BOGO Offer?

A BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) offer is a specific type of Buy X Get Y (BXGY) deal where the customer gets one additional item free for every item they purchase — a 1:1 ratio. Unlike full BXGY functionality (e.g., Buy 3 Get 2), BOGO keeps it simple: Buy 1, Get 1 Free or Buy 2, Get 2 Free, etc.

⚠️ Note: Pumper currently does not support full BXGY configurations natively, but BOGO offers are now supported with this update

✨ Key Features & Behavior

✅ 1. Enabling the BOGO Toggle

Within each sub-offer block, you’ll now see a new toggle:

“Turn this sub-offer into a Buy X Get Y Free”

Once enabled, this will instantly transform your regular offer into a BOGO-style offer.

🖼️ 2. UI Changes After Enabling the Toggle

Once the toggle is turned on:

• Auto-Updated Title:

The sub-offer title will automatically change to reflect the BOGO logic.

→ “Buy {X} Get {Y} Free”

• New Input Fields:

The default quantity field is replaced by two fields:

• Buy: [input box for X]

• Get Free: [input box for Y]

For example: Buy 2, Get 1 Free

• Product Selection:

You don’t need to reselect the product. The BOGO logic applies to the product you initially set for the sub-offer.

🔒 3. Fixed Discount Logic

Since the BOGO offer has a defined structure:

• The Discount Type dropdown will be disabled.

• Customers will automatically receive the Y quantity free of charge.

🧮 4. Price Calculation Logic

The customer pays only for the **Buy ** quantity. Here’s how it works in the cart:

• Example: Product price = ₹100

→ Buy = 2, Get = 1

→ Customer gets 3 items and pays ₹200

( 3 items in cart, but only charged for 2)

🛒 5. How It Appears in the Pumper Cart

Paid Items (Buy X):

• Price: Charged at full price (e.g., ₹100 each).

• Tag/Label: No discount tag is shown for these.

• Quantity: Displayed as part of the total quantity.

Free Items (Get Y):

• Price: ₹0 (free).

• Tag/Label: Uses the sub-offer title — e.g., “Buy 2 Get 1 Free!”

• These appear alongside the paid items in the cart seamlessly.

• Multiple Offers: You can create multiple BOGO offers using sub-offers for different products.

• No Need for Custom Coding: All BOGO logic is handled within the UI and integrated into Shopify's discount system.

• Trackable & Transparent: Both you and your customers can easily see how the discount is applied.
